Rebuilding Together
Formerly called 'Christmas in April,' Rebuilding Together helps revitalize the homes of local people in need.
This one-day program of home repair assists needy homeowners in the Washtenaw County area with basic home maintenance and repair tasks, inside and out. In previous years, we've partnered with the MSU Club of Washtenaw County. Our team of ND and MSU volunteers are assigned one home to work on for the day.
Priority is given to elderly and low-income homeowners who don't have family members who can assist them with home maintenance. Projects may include painting, simple repairs (carpentry, drywall, plumbing or electrical), removing unwanted items and yard maintenance and clean-up.
Volunteers with all skill levels are welcome! If you can't work the entire time, that's okay. Even a few hours of your time will be appreciated! High school students are welcome to volunteer if accompanied by a parent.
